1975 Yamaha MX125B in Moscow, Pennsylvania

1975 Yamaha MX175B
I am selling my 1975 Yamaha MX125B from my personal collection. I purchased this absolutely
stunning MX from a motorcycle shop owner at a vintage show and sale. l planned
on riding it but decided it’s just too nice for me to take out in the dirt and
race.  I didn’t get a lot of history on
it, but having owned many vintage Yamaha’s, between what I was told and what I see;
I can give a pretty accurate description.
It is a
matching #’s bike, both engine and VIN # is 35. The bike was redone in
his shop; frame was sandblasted, professionally repainted along with the engine
and exhaust. The fenders, number plate and side covers appear to be NOS and the
tank was also professionally repainted, new decals, and clear coated. I think
bar none, these colors and graphics are Yamaha’s most striking motif of the 70’s.
The seat is
new, along with the handlebars, pad, grips, levers & mounts, throttle,
cables, dust covers, and kill switch. Tires were replaced, tubes were replaced,
and possibly the rear spokes. New chain and sprockets, new petcock, fuel lines,
fuel and air filters.
He said his
mechanic went over the entire bike, all bearings and axles greased, oil changed,
rebuilt original Mikuni carburetor. Engine was gone thru also according to the previous owner but didn’t know exactly what was done, so take
that information with a grain of salt. It does start right up, idles perfectly, revs cleanly,no unusual
noises, no leaks, and it's pretty snappy and sounds great. Clutch action is good, shifts smoothly, runs
strong and stops as it should. The front end was upgraded with forks from a
newer (70’s) Yamaha IT. They are leading edge, air assisted forks with new fork
boots. When reassembling the bike all new nuts and bolts were used throughout. The oil injection was removed, pre-mix only.
When I get
someone over to see my little collection, this MX125 is usually their favorite. It is such
a gorgeous machine with a timeless, classic look. It would be a great addition
to any collection or if your dream is a head turning, vintage, MX bike to vintage
race, here it is.  This little MX is truly "Blast from the Past Fun! There is no title, sold with a clean VIN check and Pa. Bill
of Sale. I have ridden this only once up the road and back, and after the restoration I was the first person to put gas it.PLEASE READ:  A non-refundable
